Laser Shower 1.6

     This week I was actually able to get on Strawberry. She is feeling good I think she is almost a 100% healed. I learned the last new protocol on the laser. This protocol is called swelling/Edema. This focuses towards more swelling. Her suspensrary had inflammation in it at first. After the inflammation went down the swelling rose. This is good because it is a sign of healing and the heat has left the surface of the tear. Yes, swelling is bad to a persons point of view, but different in a horse. When your knee swells it usually means its bad. When a horse gets inflammation that is their kind of bad, when swelling occurs its a sign of the heat leaving the surface. Strawberry is 12 years old, it helps that she is young and can heal the tendons faster and healthier. This setting helps remove the last spots of heat that are left in the suspensary. You run the laser from the back of the hawk all the way to the fetlock of the horse. Next week we will be giving a progress report on strawberry.

 Hello everyone! Genius hour has been off to a great start! I have been learning new protocols and studying different settings.  The Laser can also be used on humans. When you are lasering a horse or a human it doesn't hurt or cause you any source of pain. It will hurt your eyes if you look into the red laser, but not the blue laser. Usually you only apply the laser for a maximum of 5 minutes. When treating acne its only 2 weeks. Below I have attached a video of my horse (Strawberry) as her at her first stage of being injured. This video will show how she is off on her hind left leg. Yes she is very fat and is not a pony just a very small horse who has had 5 months without exercise.

Fitness 2.6

This week I stepped up my  exercises. I started doing 3 rounds of 15 reps. So far my shoulder is alright,  but it still isn't ready to get back to CrossFit.   My goals this week are to not get hurt and keep working harder. As far as                  my long term goals  they are still up in the air. The picture above is an  exact picture of what I  had done. This is a stem  cell shot. It uses a really  long needle called a  spinal needle. This shot is very expensive, but it works really well.  Stem cells are fundamentally the building blocks of life and have the potential to differentiate into many different types of cells within the body. Stem cells are actively involved in repairing, regenerating, and rebuilding damaged or absent tissue in the body that has been affected by disease, infection, or injury.

Fitness 2.2

           This week we focused on bench press. When we first started out we but 45 on plus a 35 bar. Mondays set was really good. I built up from 125 up to 145 which is improvement, but I am looking for more. On Wednesday I had no idea what got into me, but I was pretty weak. I faced the challenge of not being able to even lift the bar above my head. That night I came to find out that I had 2 ribs out and it was straining my hip. Given my shoulder injury this came as no surprise because it happens often. Anyways there is always bumps in the road.           My goal this week was to of course burn through 300 reps of everything, but to also get to 150 pounds with my back squat.
